Dąbrowa Górnicza, miasto nad dwoma rzekami
Dąbrowa Górnicza to miasto w województwie śląskim, na Wyżynie Śląskiej, nad rzekami Czarną Przemszą i Białą Przemszą. Miasto leży na Wyżynie Katowickiej oraz Garbie Tarnogórskim. Jest to dziesiąte miasto w Polsce pod względem powierzchni i największy ośrodek przemysłowy Zagłębia Dąbrowskiego.
Dąbrowa Górnicza powstała w wyniku połączenia się w większą aglomerację wielu innych i mniejszych miejscowości. Pierwsze informacje o Dąbrowie Górniczej pojawiły się w 1726. Wzmianki pochodzą z ksiąg parafialnych w kościele Świętej Trójcy w Będzinie. Powołując się na spis ludności diecezji krakowskiej w 1787 roku, osada liczyła wtedy 184 mieszkańców. 7 lat później, po III rozbiorze Polski, Dąbrowa została przyłączona do Prus (Nowego Śląska).

Antoniego z Padwy, Młyn z XVIII wieku w Ratanicach, Kaplica z XVIII wieku w Trzebisławicach, Drewniana kaplica z XVIII wieku, Bazylika Najświętszego Serca Pana Jezusa czy Dworzec kolejowy w Ząbkowicach. Warto również wspomnieć o Pałacyku Dezona w Parku Śródmiejskim, Kamienicach Huty Bankowej, Dworcach kolejowych w Centrum i Gołonogu, Kościele świętej Barbary, Kościele Zesłania Ducha Świętego, Kaplicy pod wezwaniem świętej Katarzyny czy Kopalni ćwiczebna.
W Dąbrowie Górniczej są dwie huty. Pierwsza to ArcelorMittal Poland - największa huta w Polsce i jednocześnie największy zakład przemysłowy. Druga to huta założona przez Bank Polski, wybudowana w latach 1834-1840 Huta Bankowa. Obecnie huta należy do grupy Alchemia.
